In the "About" portion of the website, they state that they post

Right off the bat, I was intrigued by the modern and user-friendly layout of the website. Unlike a lot of websites with a boring color scheme and basic layouts, Edudemic's homepage is laid out in different sections, with an interesting preview to new and popular articles.
There are a multitude of different articles that interested me from the minute I looked at the homepage. I appreciate the fact that I didn't have to try to find the website's strong suits. A few examples of these riveting articles are "Constructivist Classroom: Knowing The Wrong Answers, Too.", "The Pros and Cons of Technology in the Classroom", and "How Game Based Learning Can Help Students of All Ages Learn." |
The article, "The Pros and Cons of Technology in the Classroom" is an incredibly insightful and unbiased approach to the integration of technology into the modern classroom. One thing that I greatly appreciated about the article is their citing of other reliable sources. They cite specific articles from Huffington Post and Computerworld to not only support their case, but to support the writers from these websites.
The article uses formatting to create a read that can either be quick or in-depth for the reader to receive information. They use bolded headers for each of their "Pros and Cons", but also elaborate underneath so the reader can learn more about the reason listed. For example, a "Pro" of technology is "Differentiated Instruction". This is a clear and concise reason, but if one keeps reading they will see how technology does this. They use educational apps, and their ability to allow students to learn at their own pace.
Overall, I believe this website would be very beneficial to teachers or soon-to-be teachers that are just becoming integrated into the educational technology community. The articles are very interesting and applicable to teachers of all grades and subject areas. Lastly, the articles are written by many different people, so there are many different points of views on subjects, disallowing any biases.
